APPROVAL OF MINUTES None to approve
COMMENTS FROM THE PUBLIC Kathy Nordman would like to attended on an
interim basis to represent the parish council in
Angela Tomczyk’s absence. Kelly
Flynn would like assistance and ideas in the
development of a high school
newsletter. The newsletter would be developed by the
freshmen.
PARISH COUNCIL Angela Tomczyk reported: No parish council
meeting was held. The next meeting is to be held on October 2,
2007. Approximately $700,000 has been
raised towards the roof repairs.
FUNDRAISING Carl reported: -Spaghetti Dinner raised approximately
$3,200.00

continues for Oktoberfest that will be held on Sunday, October 21 from

annual dinner dance will be held in January 2008 at White Lake Oaks. More
information to come.
-The
annual Silent Auction will be held in April 2008 and is expected to raise
approximately $40,000.00

Hankey reported that the school is gearing up for the walk-a-thon and is hoping
to raise $18,000.

INFORMATION/COMMUNICATION – Karen will update Mary Cottrell on any website
changes. She will also update member
information and distribute the meeting minutes.
PRESIDENT’S REPORT Carl reported that the enrollment numbers are
at or over budget in all schools.
-
We have several staffing changes in the schools with Dickow, Duke, Michael,
Skowronski and
Yugovich not returning. All of the vacancies have been filled.
-Carl reported that the new centralized office
is up and running.
-Carl handed out a copy of the budget/actual
for review.
-Carl reported that a sharing program with the
Music. This program would be possible for
grades K-8. This could possible cost the school $16,000 in
fees.

newsletter prepared by the students could be given out to families to
attract potential students.
-Angela discussed the possibility of alumni
presenting during a career day.
-Angela asked the board to consider
offering Mandarin Chinese to the students. This program is offered though
Oakland
Schools. The board agreed to investigate this further.
-Angela discussed a possible agreement with
Dell computer to provide equipment to the schools through a
purchase/donation program.
