APPROVAL OF MINUTES  It was moved by M. Romkema and supported by P. Monarch approve the meeting minutes of October 17, 2007.    Motion carried.

 

COMMENTS FROM THE PUBLIC  None                    

 

PARISH COUNCIL   None

 

FUNDRAISING    Carl reported:  

·         5,600 tickets sold for Oktoberfest.  Approximately $18,000 was raised. $2,800 will be donated to St. Vincent DePaul.

·         The annual dinner dance will be held in January 2008 at White Lake Oaks. 10 inductees have been identified for 2008, from graduation years 1962-1975. Tickets will be on sale for $40, a table price has not yet been set.  Tickets will be available December 1, 2007.

·         Future fundraising efforts are to include a fall and spring raffle.

·         Spaghetti dinner fundraiser will be held in the spring.

·         The silent auction is expected to raise $40,000.

BOOSTER CLUB  No Report

 

 

MARKETING:  Carl reported that recruiting night was slow. There is a possibility that we may be able to co-op sports with Everest Academy in 2009. 

 

 

 

INFORMATION/COMMUNICATION  Karen will e-mail a meeting reminder to all board members the day before the meeting.

 

 

 

 

PRESIDENT’S  REPORT  Carl Reported:

·         Enrollment; No know changes

·         Faculty and Staff: No changes. The sharing of teachers with the Waterford district is working well. Waterford continues to submit bills to the school. Carl is resolving this with the school.

·         Due to the success of Oktoberfest an additional day has been added to winter break, February 14, 2008.

·         Oktoberfest proceeds enable the purchase of 22 computers for the elementary lab, new speakers for the old gym and additional virus software licensing.

·         Carl provided a schedule of tuition rates and enrollment counts from the Archdiocese of Detroit for other high schools.

·         The parish will be celebrating Fathers birthday with a luncheon on January 18th.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

                   

BUDGET COMMITTEE    Budget meetings will begin the second week of January 2008.

 

 

ELECTION COMMITTEE No report

 

 

OLD BUSINESS   Nothing to report/discuss

 

 

NEW BUSINESS   

·         Oakland County Credit Union is offering $3,000 in scholarships for OLL students.

·         Future meeting dates will be set at the next meeting.
