OLL PTG MEETING MINUTES

WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 13, 2008

OPENING PRAYER – 7:04 led by Mrs. Sartori

 

PRINCIPAL’S REPORT

Mrs. Sartori discussed the following topics:

  • Readathon is in 2 weeks, request for PTG to purchase T-Shirts and other prizes.
  • Request for PTG to pay registration fee for MANS convention for administrators.
  • Author Bryan Chick will be at OLL March 7th.  He is not charging for presentation.
  • Open house was sparsely attended probably due to economy.
  • Emergency first aid kits are needed in each classroom.
  • Still collecting box tops, but may not reach goal of 7,000

 

SECRETARY’S REPORT

Copies of the minutes from the January 9, 2008 meeting were presented by Mary Gaissert.  Motion was made by Laura Ludlow to accept minutes with no changes, deletions or additions. Diane Bono seconded.

 

TREASURER’S REPORT

Copies of the Treasurer’s Report for January were presented by Christi Simiele.  Motion was made by Danielle Crenshaw to accept the Treasurer’s report with no changes, deletions or additions.  Mary Gaissert seconded.

 

DISCUSSION TOPICS

First Aid Kits – Mick and Laura will check a couple of resources for donations.  It was stated that teachers and playground moms should be certified in Universal Precaution.  PTG will check with Oakland County Health Department for assistance.

MANS Convention – PTG will pay for registration fees.

Readathon – Laura Ludlow will shop for TShirts, hats and basketballs for prizes.

Euchre Tournament – April 5 was the selected date.  Mary Gaissert will check with Laurie Duffie on getting flyers and other notices out.

Year-end Field Games – PTG will rent inflatables from Oakland County Parks and Rec.  Mary Gaissert will check on age for the climbing wall.

Rolladium night – Laura Ludlow will call to reserve the next date.

Chuck E. Cheese night – Mick Puma will ask Nancy Linton to schedule another night. 

Scrapbooking event – 32 are registered; food donations are needed.

School Supplies Kit – It’s time to get orders in to get a better discount.  Christi Simiele will follow up with teachers.

Playground Equipment – Barb Hankey suggested that we could raise another $4,000 from the Readathon and Scrapbook event.  Euchre Tournament may bring in another $1,500.  This will get us close to the $20,000 needed.  PTG agreed that we should get this going for a spring time installation.

Pizza Kits – A chairperson is needed for next year.

 

CLOSING PRAYER at 8:07 – Next PTG meeting will be Wednesday March 5th at 7:00 pm.   If you do not find us in the Elementary School Library, we will be in one of the classrooms which offer more room.  Look for a note on the library door.
