OLL PTG MEETING MINUTES

WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 5, 2007

OPENING PRAYER – 7:03 led by Julie Sartori.

 

PRINCIPAL’S REPORT

Julie Sartori discussed the following topics:

  • Carl Uberti is extending an invitation to all school parents to attend the dinner dance on January 19th.
  • The Book Fair sold a record $7600 in books.  As a result, the teachers earned $2400 in books they could select for the school.
  • 138 books were earned from points allocated by Scholastic software sales.
  • Parents night out is scheduled for this Friday. 
  • Christmas program is tomorrow at 7:00.
  • The student council is selling candy canes as a fundraiser to help children in Afghanistan.
  • The school has received $775 from box tops.  This money will go to PTG, but would like $100 for each class to put towards cost of bus for field trips.
  • The drama club is presenting Stone in the Road.  Elementary students will have a $1 jeans day that will go to the drama club to defray the cost of royalties.
  • Would like funds from popcorn sales to reimburse costs of prayer books for teachers and large blackboard erasers.

Mick will check with Christie to see what funds are available for the needs presented here and last month.

 

SECRETARY’S REPORT

Copies of the minutes from the November 14, 2007 meeting were presented by Mary Gaissert.  Motion was made by Nancy Verheyen to accept minutes with no changes, deletions or additions.  Laura Ludlow seconded.

 

TREASURER’S REPORT

Copies of the Treasurer’s Report for November were presented by Mary Gaissert as proxy for Christi Simiele.  There was minor income and expenses for November, mostly Turkey Shoot.  Motion was made by Nancy Linton to accept the Treasurer’s report with no changes, deletions or additions.  Nancy Verheyen seconded.

 

DISCUSSION TOPICS

Secret Santa Shop – Items will be delivered Monday.  Setup will Tuesday.  We still need parent volunteers for Wednesday – Friday.  Julie Sartori will put together the class schedule for the preview day and sale days.

All School Directory – Nancy Verheyen stated that directories have been distributed to everyone.

CLOSING PRAYER – 7:40 – Next PTG meeting will be Wednesday, January 9th at 7:00 pm.   If you do not find us in the Elementary School Library, we will be in one of the classrooms which offer more room.  Look for a note on the door.
