Please keep his family in your prayers. Visitation is at Coats Funeral

The church center is

a while to help them out. If you would like to participate in this, please
contact Cindy Webster or Jeannie Sharp at (248) 623-0274.
We need disinfectant wipes please
Last school year you were all very
generous about sending in disinfectant wipes. We used these wipes frequently in
the classrooms, eating areas and the office. We believe they made a difference
in warding off many viruses. We would
like to continue this practice. If you
can afford to send in some containers of disinfecting wipes, it would be a
useful help in our efforts to keep a healthy school. Thank you.
Meet the Faculty – Monday, Sept. 13th
Please join us for Meet the
Faculty Night on, Monday September 13th
at 7:00 p.m. We will meet in the gym
for a brief introduction and then you will go through your student's
schedule. We will provide a copy of your
student’s schedule at a table set up in the commons that evening. This is not a
time to have a conference with your student's teacher. This meeting is for parents only.
8th grade parents please note: there will be
a short Washington D.C. planning meeting for 8th grade parents at 6:30 pm in room 108, prior to the Meet the Faculty meeting. You will not need to attend this meeting if
your student will not be traveling to Washington D.C.
Mailing – tickets, directory info, Edline letters
Last Thursday we mailed the
additional five (5) Oktoberfest tickets
that should have been included in the original mailing. We appreciate your patience
in this matter. See our ticket sale
incentive below. We also included the
information sheet for our school
directory in this envelope. We have
heard back from about 63 families, we hope to hear from the rest of you soon so
we can publish our directory. It is a
useful tool for everyone. If you were
new to Edline, we also included Edline
login instructions in this mailing.
Please let us know if you have questions about Edline use.

entertainment books again this year.
Each student was given an entertainment book on Monday and asked to sell
at least one book. Parents can get
additional books by sending a note to school with your student. The cost per book is $25. The middle school will be the only Lakes
school selling them. The profits
generated will be targeted for middle school needs, such as field trips and educational
equipment.
The top selling student will
win $100. The second top selling student will win $75. The third top selling
student will win $50. The top selling class will win a pizza party.
