Merry Christmas!
Third Sunday of Advent
Theme: JOY
As we get closer to Christmas, we change
to a theme of JOY. We rejoice because
Jesus is soon to come. Jesus will come
as a loving and peaceful Savior. I hope
as you make your preparations for Christmas that you replace stress for joy.
Try this week to let go of bitterness and
resentment. It will gnaw at you unless
you let it go. God will surely replace
it with peace and serenity.
The pink candle was lit on this third
Sunday, Gaudete Sunday. It is a time of
rejoicing because we are over half way to Christmas. Our excitement is mounting as we wait in
joyful hope for the coming of the Light. As we see Christmas lights in our
neighborhoods, keep them as reminders of the Light we hope for.
“The light keeps shining in the dark and
the darkness has never put it out.” John
1: 5
Make it a special Advent, pray for one
another and spend some time reflecting on what it means to be grateful,
compassionate, and unselfish.

All School Mass
We will have an all school
mass this Wednesday, Dec. 17th.
This will be a dress up day which means students should wear mass attire
or better – no leggings or jeans allowed.
Prayers
Please keep Mr. Clark in your
prayers as he recovers from surgery. He
will not return to his music ministry until January.
Red & Green Day
This Friday, December 19th,
we will have a red and green jeans day.
Students may wear jeans with red or green.
Progress Reports
Progress reports for
Mid-Quarter 2 are available online. If
you would like your child’s grades mailed, please phone the office at
248-623-2201.
Teachers Luncheon
We are looking for several
parents to sit in the classrooms with the students while the teachers enjoy
their Christmas luncheon on Thursday, Dec. 18th. The luncheon is from 10:20-12:00. Please let us know in the office if you are
available to help. This is a wonderful
Christmas treat for the teachers.
Entertainment Books
We still have entertainment
books for sale. Consider purchasing a
book for a Christmas gift. They are a
real savings in this economy. For
instance: there are (4) $5 coupons to use toward Meijer brand grocery
purchases. Entertainment books are
available in both the middle school and parish offices.
